Turner Supported By Group All In for ACA Repeal

Chase Turner, Republican State Representative Candidate of District 38, is supported by groups that put the health of Michiganders at risk. The groups he’s aligned with have threatened to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), leaving those with pre-existing conditions at risk, and are anti-women’s health.

Turner is backed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). This organization’s president has called for the ACA to be repealed. If the ACA were to be repealed, 1.2 million Michiganders would be suddenly left without health insurance, and those with pre-existing conditions would be at risk of being denied alternative coverage options. This stance would leave Michigan extremely vulnerable, especially during COVID-19.

Chase Turner has also fought against women’s health care. He is a loud advocate against a woman’s right to choose, even in instances of rape, incest or extreme danger to the health of the mother. He is supported by Michigan Right to Life, an organization that pushes this extreme anti-abortion rhetoric forward.

Overall, Chase Turner is backed by organizations that will put the health of Michiganders at risk. His inexperience and history of following extreme conservative viewpoints could leave women, and those with pre-existing conditions in danger.
