DETROIT — Joining a growing list of candidates running for an open seat in Congress, Focus: HOPE President and CEO Portia Roberson announced she will run in the 13th Congressional District.
Roberson had previously served as an assistant Wayne County Prosecutor and worked in the Obama administration leading the White House Strong Cities, Strong Communities Team.
As President and CEO of Focus: HOPE, Roberson announced last week that the organization was now debt free for the first time in nearly 20 year. Focus: HOPE works in the areas of early childhood education, youth development, workforce development, food for seniors, and advocacy.

- Former Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee Jr.

- Michael Griffie
